Для корректной работы VMware-Workstation-Full 8 и 9

 cat <<EOF> /etc/pam.d/vmware-authd
 #%PAM-1.0
 auth     include        system-auth
 account  include        common-login
 password include        common-login
 session  include        common-login
 EOF

 chmod 711 /lib/modules

Если при запуске VMWare Workspation 12 Pro на Альт Линукс показывается ошибка

то установите пакет:

• kernel-headers-modules-std-def
